OT - a d*mn*d Ch*vy everyone can love.

OK, after repeated attempts & hours of frustration, I have finally given up on ever being able to work my way thru the maddening serpentine maze to post a photo.

I was able to create an album today (hooray!) with pics of a very inspiring Ch*vy displayed at the 2012 Belle Isle Detroit Grand Prix a couple of weeks ago. Not entirely sure what I did to make the album appear. I then tried to create another album with pics of my truck, no joy as usual. I tried to paste the photos of the Ch*vy to this new thread, but failed miserably. If you're interested, the album is called "A Ch*vy for Everyone". I hope it is there.

For pics of my truck, fugettaboudit.

Mike, once you get a pic into your album, right click on it and select "copy image location" and then go to reply page. Click on the picture icon and paste.
The pic will not appear in the post.....only the text. Hit preview post and you will see the pic.

I saw that car and took many photos of it here in San Diego at the Auto Show this year. Brings tears to your eyes...very moving tribute.

I love Camaros anyway...but the paint job is a bit "flashy" for me.

It seems awkward, but whenever you "insert a picture" to one of these threads, the forum is looking for the picture somewhere on the web (which is always available) rather than from somewhere on your hard drive (which isn't always available).

Go to Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket and sign up for a free account. Then create an album for your truck. Upload any pics you want to post on FTE to that album. Have this album open on your computer when you want to post pics on FTE.

While you're making a post on FTE, select the pic you want to post from your Photobucket album. When the large version of the pic is open, right mouse click on it and select "View Image Info". The image info will be highlighted and will look something like this:
http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/l...ghtsafter1.jpg

Copy that highlighted info (right click / copy).

When you have the spot in your post where you want the pic to be placed, select the "Insert Image" icon at the top of the post (looks like a mountain) and paste (right click / paste) the image info you copied in the highlighted box (just shows "http://" when it opens).

Your pic will be placed in the post.

Hope that helps.
