Suspension Knowledge
Hello! I'm fairly new to the 4x4 world, especially with these trucks. I've got a recently purchased 1988 F-250, 4x4, super duty, with a nice running 460 and a 5 speed manual. It's an awesome truck, in amazing shape and gives me everything I wanted.
I don't know much about 4x4's and suspension, can someone point out a good resource/website where I can learn more from the basics on up? Specific to our trucks? I'd like to start learning and going through things to replace bushings, links, ball joints, shocks etc, and want to know what the hell I'm doing and talking about.
Thanks!

ok. F-250 with independent front suspension. my guess is with the 460 you have a Dana 50 front differential.
first thing is to inspect everything.
look for cracks in any rubber bushings.
on the shocks, look for oil leaks, or excessive bouncing over bumps.
basically tha same as a car, except there are all 4 wheels drive to look at.
