Door wont seal correctly--bent door hinge
Hello!
I have a 2002 Supercrew that I recently got. The guy before me said he slid into a guard rail and ever since then the doors dont seal correctly. Theres a good 1/2-3/4" gap at the tops of both drivers side doors. Doors will shut, but are harder to open.
I tried a couple of things, but nothing has worked yet. I tried to bend the top of the door by pulling/pushing on it. It helped some, but still not completely back to where it should be.
After looking at the door more closely I did notice that the bottom hinge on both doors is not lined up properly. The top one seems right (it runs parallel to the side of the truck) The bottom one looks kicked in, which is right where the guard rail would of hit. I think that this may be my issue.
Is there any way to re-straighten the hinge? I thought about trying to pull the hinge out with a ratchet and hope that it'll pop back in place. Or by putting some sort of shim behind the hinge, to help straighten it back out.
Any suggestions?
