Question 1989 F-150, 300 6cyl Fuel pump and EEC power relays.

Hello all,
I had recently acquired a 1989 F-150, 300 6cyl 5 peed manual trans with 111,000 miles. It is a 4wd drive truck that is in fair shape. When i bought it this past winter, it ran great. As time went on, the engine started hesitating at around 1,800 to 2,000. After doing some trail and error repairs i still couldnt figure out what the problem was, so i called the previous owner. It turns out that he failed to inform me that the EEC power relay and the Fuel pump realy had been "rigged together" after the truck let him sit on the side of the road. So i went to the local parts store and bought brand new relays and connectors. I cut out the old connectors and tried putting in the new ones in. Upon doing so, the truck turned over but didnt fire leading me to believe that it is now not getting fuel. So the combination of a bad wiring job on behalf of the jackass that owned it before, and my inability to read a wiring schematic makes a very frustrating situation. Is thier anyone out there with a good picture of the way it should be done?
