Wheel wobbles in and out
#2
First start by finding and replacing bad steering components.
Could be bad pitman arm or center link or tierods. Could be loose steering box or worn out. Or balljoints.
If everything is good... Then yes, a steering stabilizer will help.
Do you have big tires. Is it a strait axle (bad trac bar)
But most likely there is something worn a lot, or a lot of things worn a little.

The steering stabilizer "MIGHT" mask some of the looseness, but it WILL NOT fix it..

Your steering wheel wobbles as the tires hit bumps?
Like mentioned, go through everything under the front and make sure there are no real issues.
With that said, my '89 F150 has everything new(box, rag joint, ball joints, tie rods, tires, shocks) and it still steers like crap IMHO. Has a very vague, loose kinda feel going down the road. No truck I have ever owned has been like this and this one is the only one I have ever rebuilt everything up front.
I had a new stabilizer on it, but didn't seem to help much. Made it heavier feeling, but still too much "slop" feel.
My '69 is dead solid and all original(king pins and all) and my '95 was great(totalled by woman in minvan). Don't know why this truck is so bad? Had two other bumps with original front ends that steered perfect and tight.
