Craigslist or the local junkyard. I found my set by just calling the junkyard a few times until they had a truck with the springs still on them. If the springs are pulled off the vehicle, there's no good way to know which spring code you're getting since the code is on the driver's door sticker.

That would be the best place. I didn't know if Deaver or Atlas made a better spring.

Old thread resurrected

I've looked thru evr pic & hadn't seen one of rear shackle angle with this RSK & superduty springs ....... ?

I installed a ORU RSK 7yrs ago with stock 96 2leaf springs & my rear shackles were strait up & down.

I jus put 6" Skyjacker springs in & my shackles are leaned forward at bottom 2.5" because springs are SHORTER eye to eye.

Arched springs gets longer as suspension compresses & they CAN'T with the weight of the truck pushing upwards on a forward leaning rear shackle.

It fighting itself .

I hope I'm explaining this properly ?

Today I'm changing to 6" lift 99-04 Superduty longer springs to get the shackles a little rearward like all the spring companies recommend for better ride.

I know I'm gna have to move axle forward to center the tire in the fender BUT I'm NOT moving my frt bracket forward or changing my bracket.

IF I moved my frt brkt 3+ inches forward, my rear shackles wldnt be leaning rearwards with the longer superduty springs.

Any thoughts ?

Sorry for dragging up an old thread but after reading through this I have just a few questions for clarification. I have a set of U code '03 SD front springs that I want to swap into my '94 F-350 CC. I will be using the PMF RSK kit with a 2.25" lift.
Will I need to change both my pitman arm and track bar bracket with this kit to accommodate the increased height?
Brad mentioned using the rear sway bar connecting rods up front to maintain proper function. Is that correct or did I misread that?
Also I have poly bushings in my current OBS springs, will they swap over to the SD springs or will I need to get some different bushings specific to the new springs?
Lastly thanks to those who detailed their work doing this. It is greatly appreciated.

Thanks Brad for the quick response. Final track bar question. Is your adjustable track bar longer than stock? As in will I need to either go with a drop bracket or adjustable bar to maintain proper function?

Yes. longer than stock.

You would want a adjustable bar, a drop bracket shoves the mount back and then it hits the sway bar

Yes go adj track bar as its the only true way to CENTER your axle.

I use a plumb Bob hanging from fenders on a string to know when tires are dead center

I've got a lightly used drop pitman arm if Interested :

My experience is that the track bar drop should be the same amount of pitman arm drop.

If no track bar drop, then no pitman arm drop.

But if you do either, make sure it is it he correct amount. A 3" drop pitman arms isn't always 3" drop. Don't dwell on this unless you are going to do one or the other.

I too am running RSK : ORU I think it was years ago, with 99-04 Super Duty Leafs to get the proper rear shackle lean angle.
my frt suspension actually works now & isn’t fighting frt truck weight when trying to compress the leaf springs
