Question about the climate control.
I have a 2011 F-350 with the "climate control" system. Last year the AC would cool with only the AUTO button pushed. It quit working that way, I had to have the AC button pushed also to make it cool. I took it to a dealer and they replaced a thermostat control. It still works the same way. Will not cool without the AC button pushed. The service writer told me that was the way is was suppose to work. How does yours work????

I was going to start a thread similar....but different...........I got in my truck early morning 65 degrees outside. Control set to 72. Wife was complaining it was cold. The AC light was on and it was blowing cold air. I thought it would be blowing luke warm air because of the temp? Had to shut off air button to get it not so cold.

Mine works as noted by djousma. I figure can manually turn the A/C Off/On with the button, but with the Auto button on, it will turn A/C (button/light) on if needed. I say figure, because I have never had to manually turn AC on, with Auto on, if I set the temp down enough to where A/C is needed it turns on.

Tis a mystery.
On my truck, the dual controls do not really give out separate temps between the passenger and driver sides. If my wife sets her side to 69 and I set my side to 74, I get the super cold air that my wife's side is calling for. She's comfortable and I'm freezing my nards off.
The AC light comes on on start up if the inside temp is above some unknown temp (I suspect 72 degrees) and the Auto button is on. If I turn off the AC, lowering the temp control does no turn the AC back on. Max Cool will, however, always turn on the AC.
A quirky system that, IMHO, has a lot of placebo built in.
jammer

Jermort, mine doesn't work that way, at least it didn't before my problems. If my wife turns her temp lower than mine, I can feel her side cooling down more than mine. I think it diverts some of my cool air over to her side because I notice that I have to adjust my temp control to keep comfortable. I liked the way mine did worked.
