Haha...Fordland

I bought an item on auction today, from someone that lives in Fordland, Missouri. It's just outside of Springfield.

Any of you guys live in uniquely named towns? Like Chevyton, or Buickville, or Podunk?

I've always been amused by West, Texas. It's just south of D/FW, clearly on the east side of the state. Makes me wonder if there's an East, Texas, somewhere on the western side.........

We have a few of our own, with my fav being Bug Tussle, OK. And, having a bit of Indian heritage, we have some that are ..... unusual. For instance, Skiatook. Nice being able tell people to put Skiatook in Google Maps w/o a state, 'cause there is no other.

As for Podunk, we have that as well only it is spelled slightly differently - Ponca. Good place to get lost, as the "help line" used to live there and knows exactly where you are.

If the directions are clear and understandable, there is no need to be calling the Help Line.
