Hi guys. I'm new to the forum and to forums in general for the most part. I apologize if someone has already addressed this, but I dug around a little bit and didn't see it. I have and Edge Evo CS tuner/programmer that I am having problems getting it to work on my 2011 F250 4x4 crew cab with the 6.2. and 3.73's. I had the Edge on my 2008 F150 and it worked flawlessly and I was very satisfied. I called Edge before putting it on the 2011 6.2 to make sure it was compatible. The tech I talked to assured me that it was. I connected it to the computer and downloaded the latest updated programming and then connected it to the truck. Downloaded the level 2 towing program and once finished, the truck would barely run. I was getting a PCM error and the truck would barely move. Tried to restore it to stock but the Edge kept saying it failed to detect key in the on position. Edge customer service wasn't very helpful as it was about 5 min. before closing time, and the tech wasn't very eager to dig in to my problem. He told me they had been having some problems with the new programming and would try a couple of things, but I had to get the truck back to stock first. Luckily after several tries, I managed to get the truck back to stock, but Edge is closed for the weekend and it will be Monday before I can call them back. Does anyone else have an evo cs on their truck and if so have you experienced similar problems?
I have the SCT, and it works great. I thought the tunes had to be made on a per truck and PCM basis. Not sure about that but when I bought mine from Mike @ 5 Star, I had do give him the PCM number before he could send the tunes to me.
