Here is another one but finding a pic of a 2wd with them is not that easy. At least no luck so far.... but I think they would look good on a 2wd IMO.

I can remember years ago in SoCal, when I'd see trucks like that were lifted so high that the U-joints on the front drive shaft wouldn't last very long. It was fairly common to see guys driving their "boulevard cruisers" around with no front drive shaft, like the one in that picture. I'd say to an owner, "Hey, that's a nice looking 2-wheel drive you got there."

Yeah, 2wd's with these type wheels aren't that easy to find pics of, 5 or 8 lug. I do think they look good 2wd or 4wd. Dad did too, as within a year of buying the 74, he put a set of slots on it. Loved the looks, hated the brake dust. He took them off and set them back in the barn for 2-3 years. When I got my drivers license, and an old ford truck, he surprised me by getting tires put on the slots and bolting them on my truck. It was a 70, so drum front brakes. I loved it so much, I kept the wheels for use on 3-4 other old trucks.
Wish I still had those slots, or some like them. Got a couple trucks that I would love to have them on.....

Many (8-10) years later, I bought dad a set of chrome wheels for his 74, and they're still on it today, sitting in my driveway.

Slots are just stuck in my head, I was in my teens and my neighbor was building a Henry J, it was painted flat black, the front was raised way high with a solid ibeam front axle, flat white fenderwell headers w/glass packs a tunnel ram with a single carb(it needed a blower)skinny steering tires on fat spokes up front and a pair of big fat M&H Racemaster slicks pinned to what seemed to stand out from any way you looked at them! Big blocks of aluminium carved into the sexiest pair of polished slots ever!! That was a long time ago!
I know some of you may "boo" me but I still get that feeling from my M/T's , I think it's just the "big block of aluminium" feeling.
I'll take a set of 16 x 10 Slots please!

I was aware they wanted $2600 for the 16" 8 lug slots, they're as rare as hen's teeth, still a very very steep price though.

But why $1250 for 16.5" 8 lug slots? they're very common, show up on Craigslist all the time for around $100 a set, granted most aren't polished.

I told him I wanted 16x10 he said all he had close to 10 was 16.5 x 9.75 and that works for me but not my wallet! I don't need polished.
