Used V/B springs: how many miles are too much?
I found a local salvage yard with V-code front leaf springs from a 2004 F-250 with 80,000 miles. Is this too many miles to consider a swap with my stock springs?
I found B code rear leaf springs from another salvage yard from a F-250 with 40,000 miles...I bought these.
Thanks!

The springs I bought for my F350 were off of a truck that did not have a goose neck ball or fifth wheel hitch, therefore I figured it had never had any real weight on it. I think that would be more important then age, but that is just my logic.
edit: No I did not put V/B's on my F350. LOL

Assuming a southern truck (donor in SC) with no snow plow, how "bad" could the front V springs be at 80K miles? That's the question. Any other tips appreciated.

I would say with only 80k on an F250 is nothing. If it were 280k maybe I would be concerned, but 80k is nothing... unless it was a service truck. Have you seen them in person? Do they show any wear? Did you check out: Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market I would say go for it.
