Am i in my right mind

Ok guys i have been thinking about this for awhile. If you have anything to say feel free. So i wanted to lift my 77 f250 2wd, for awhile. But then i got to thinking and where i live thkngs must have a purpose. If its lifted its 4x4. Now my trucks not so i was wandering if i should lower it. Yes i am a teen aged boy. Probly not in my right mind. Not much though i dont want it to look stupid. Just a little bit of a rake from front to back. Now that i have been here i know what i want. Just takes time and money. Please need the goods and bads of both so i can make up my.mind

I'd level the truck, and that's it. The lowered look is not my thing, and I think it's a waste of a truck. And although I like lifted trucks they gotta be 4x4. Lifted 2wds are so lame.

Depends on what you and they think is "bad*ss". I think a leveling kit and a factory style paint job with factory equipment is sweet. Having a sleek clean OE truck is as bad*ss as it gets Most of the people who think they can improve on classic 70's Ford style fail miserably IMO.

Agree with Jexes, a fairly stock '77 in good shape, good paint wheels tires etc will turn plenty of heads. A little rake looks fine to me, particularly on a longbed. These trucks were setup to have some rake, they were built for work. Put a load on the rear and they level out nicely.

Dude, you have a '77 F250. You are waaaaay ahead of the game on badass. Get the motor right, get some dual exhaust if you don't already have it. It doesn't get much badder than that. Fluff goes in and out of style. Some things never do.

Well I have only had 2 2wd Ford trucks in the long list of them....and IMO I like the baja prerunner look. Why I do not know, I just do. Maybe because it looks like a 4wd?

Everything I have now is 4wd, but I still like the look. On the FTE pages I have seen some nice 2wd's that are lifted (correctily) and will admit they are sharp.

Since you have the truck deciding is the next step, raise it, lower it? It all depends on money and time. I would guess there is buy and bolt on kit to do either direction you decide to go, but I vote for up.

One of my son's friends has a two wheel drive Dodge truck that has been lifted. It has meaty tires on it and looks just as cool as the 4x4s with the same look. The fact that it's 2wd just makes the truck more interesting, in my opinion.

I say level and that's it. You have an older truck that will turn heads not matter if lowered, which I hate- stock or lifted.

I agree with Norton- you are way ahead of the game already.

I like the look of 2WD leveled. Do the motor right, good paint job, make the interior nice and put some good exhuast on it. Nothing stand out better than a nice paint job and nice sounding exhuast.

I'd lower it with a little rake to it. Bigger cam and true dual exhaust.

But ya'll is right, level and power, sound and cherry paint. Will turn more heads than anything else. Plus im building on a penny budgit. I have resently lost my job and the guy wont pay me what he owes me. Lil red sled if i do a bigger cam what should i go for? Engine is what im looking for now, now i want power. Lift it! people who think lifted 2wd's are lame, well, are lame! Done right, they look kool, ride nice, weigh less than a 4x, (although I dig 70's 4x4) they have less crap to brake, and a built 2wd with all the right goodies can go places and bring you a lot of fun. *You already got a frikin kool truck, get it runnin right and just drive the **** outta it!

Jack the back up. Everyone wants to lower 2wd trucks these days. Its a truck! Unless you have no intention of hauling anything more than groceries every give the rear suspension some extra travel!
