Anyone else with this problem

My truck just had it's 10k mile oil change and fuel filters done at the dealership i bpurchased the truck from. When I got home the truck makes a loud ticking sound. Sounds like a stuck lifter on on old car. Took it back to the dealership today. The service manager showed me a service bulletin from Ford that says this is normal and should not attempt to repair and is non warrantable. It says that the noise will occur after an oil change and does not hurt anything. They could not explain why this happens. Anyone else have this going on? The service bulletin is # TSB 10-19-2

I don't recall such a thing after my first oil change, does the noise go away eventually?

The ticking happens with fresh oil and eventually quits as the oil ages.

I hear mine the most when I'm driving slow next to a fence.
I've had it last as long as about 2,000 miles on the oil in the past.
I don't remember hearing it much last oil change though.
I just changed my oil last night so I'll listen for it again.

Mine has always been quite, no change after any oil change.

This did not happen until my second oil change. After my first one at 5k there was no noise just after the second at 10k.The service manager had no explanation. The service bulletin had no answers as well as said changing viscosities of oil would not help as well. I thought I bought a quite truck now this tick drives me nuts. At least it can't be heard from inside the cab. Just sounds like something is wrong standing next to it.

Not the same as those threads. My engine is still quite. The engine clatter has not gotten any louder. There is this very loud sound now that sounds like someone on a typewriter tapping away at the keys when at idle. The service bulletin refered to it as a Tick/Tap typewriter noise that is normal. They could not tell me why it shows up only after an oil change.

Ditto for me. I have not heard the ticking sound the last two oil changes though. Have about 29,000 miles. It eventually goes away after a few hundred miles, at least on mine it did.

6.4's have it too. I've only noticed it on mine once. Same service bulletin. They said on the 6.4 it was due to "tight tolerances."
