New pics added....
Hey, I added new pics to my page. I added the completed new sub install in the factory space, and a couple pics of my new Hella 500 install process. There is also a really good pic of the Flamed Guages. Enjoy, and send me any questions you might have about any of the installs....

Yes I am still using the factory amp. It's not really an amp though. It's more like a crossover. It just filters out all the vocals and high treble. I blew the factory speaker, and the popping and crackle just drove me crazy. I'm designing a new system to drop in there, but it's not comple, and I couldn't wait any longer. The sound difference is incredible! You can hear so much more low end, and not have to worry about turning it up a little bit every now and then. A very effective and cheap upgrade if you have about 30 min to spare.

Thanks for sharing your sub change-out.
Been thinking about doing it, but just was not comfortable with pulling the plastic moulding side panel. Can you offer tips on getting it off without breaking the restraints? Don't want to tear up my xp just yet.
The flamed guages are sweet.

You have to unbolt the seat belt attachment points. You will need a T-50 torx, and a 15mm socket. Pull the upper and lower moldings from the rear door area. (They just have spring clips, but use care) Pull the Pass. side rear tilt out window trim panels, the ones that run from top to bottom of the vehicle. Pull the trim panel on the floor underneath the 2nd row seats. And last, pull the trim pane from the sill of the rear pass. door. The big panel that covers the rear area (where the sub is stashed) is held in with a screw under the cargo floor carpet, and the 2 ***** in the rear that a cargo net would attach to. They just unscrew, but may be a bit tight. The panel pulls away (spring clips again) and although it is still has the seat belts running through it, you will have enough slack to move it around and work on it. I know this sounds like alot to do, but it should only take you a few minutes. GOOD LUCK !!!
