Need help identifying engine parts
I am working on a 1958 F100 with a Y-block 272 motor. I am just starting on my project and noticed things are a little different then todays motors and I have a lot to learn with this project. Anyways I am trying to figure out what these three items on my motor are. If any one could help it would be greatly appreciated.

1.) I am assuming this is a fuel pump or filter
2.) I am not sure if this is an oil filter of some sort.
3.) ?

Why mess (in more ways than one) with the old by-pass cannister oil filter when you can install a gen-u-ine Ford full flow Spin-On oil filter using its adapter kit instead?
While this kit was introduced in 1957, it was an option on some 1957/64's. I just looked this same puppy up for a member of the 1961/66 forum.
