about 10 years ago we pulled a 175 lb snapper out of a stream in a protected area.
the neighborhood had been complaining for years about small animals ducks and geese disappearing.
the shell was almost 4 foot across, and the head was the size of a basketball.
it took 3 rounds from a 44 magnum to make it safe to approach. two head shots and it was still moving. the third made it stop.

That's a great story Joseph! I have a similar one via my grandpop. He is an old school electrician, and one day he caught a large, and again very aggressive Raccoon in his live trap in his garage at the farm. The thing was trying to eat him alive every time he reached for the handle on the top of the trap. Being made of pi$$ and vinegar and being slightly agitated, he grabbed an electrical cord off the shelf, stripped the conductors back on the blunt end, PLUGGED THE OTHER END INTO THE WALL, then pushed the blunt (stripped) end into the cage. He said he just waited for the 'ol coon to latch onto the conductors and didn't unplug the opposite end til he stopped flopping...

Yeah he went through the whole process of being "shunned" when he left the Amish church. Guess he got over it though because he got his electrical license!
On an unrelated note, you would not believe how many Amish have TV's, Cell Phones, and serious drinking problems!

If I was Amish, I would have a serious drinking problem, too.
