Feel likes something's missing.

I know in the mid 50s to the early 70's the full size cars were all Fairlanes, Torinos, and Galaxies.
Gimme a sec and I'll look them up.
EDIT:
Let's see... Ford Fairmonts had 200-6's, the Ford Durago which was a downsized Ranchero that was produced for a short while had the 200-6, Granada's had 200's and 250-6's, some of the later model LTD's had the 200-6, of course the Mustangs could be had with a 200-6, and you could get Thunderbirds with 200's also.
In a passenger car meant for transportation, I like inlines and v-6's rather than 4-cylinders. The 6's balance better and have better power than the 4-cylinders and usually run as long as the 4 cylinders.

I want to say that guy's car was a Granda but I'm not sure. It looked like an old Crown Vic. I loved it.
I agree with you about the 6 bangers. I hate 4 cylinders. They're great for fuel mileage longevity but they have no power.
I don't care for some V6 engines either, though. Kayla's 3.4L (177 horse) in her Pontiac runs good but only after it hits 3,000 RPM!!!!!

I haven't heard of a Durago? It sounds like it would be a neat little machine. Why aren't they more popular? I'm going to google them after I post this.

Ford Durango - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Wikipedia, as wrong as it can be sometimes, says that it was a one-off vehicle that was made for only a year or so in the early 80's based off of the Fairmont.
It seems like it was a conversion done that is something along the lines of the Centurion 4-door trucks.
Wow, this thread has gone off topic.
EDIT: Looks like it was a conversion.
