wheres the action @ myrtle beach

Hey guys, has anyone been to myrtle beach latly. I am looking for a hotel close to the center of the action. Around witch streets is the most beach life and activities etc. I would like to be centrally located in south myrtle beach area for my stay but just not sure where the center of attention is. Thanks

I was just there on less than optimum terms over the summer(saying one last goodbye to a relative). Whatever you do, dont stay at the Crown Reef hotel. It looks nice, with a bunch of lights on it at night, and the website/flyer looked good. Its a craphole. The rooms were from the early seventies, and the staff was..shall I say...less than 'edjumicated'. Its right on the main strip. I couldnt tell you much after that.

There are a lot of "hole-in-the-walls" there, be careful because the will put a "hole" in your wallet. There are a lot of places that have had the outside remodeled, but it seems like they forgot to do the inside. While you're there, get you some fireworks and set'em off for us. Just keep your eyes open and if it looks too good to be true, it probably is.
