Exhaust thermostat control valve

Had some time to work on the fleet back on Saturday. Finally got around to replacing ehhaust manifold gaskets and rocker cover gaskets on the green F600.

Along with the exhaust manifold gaskets I was going to replace the gutted and cracked exhaust thermostat control valve, but my replacement one interfered with the rocker cover. And I thought I had the correct one on hand.

Has anyone else run into this? there are two pins on the side opposite the counterweight and bimetal coil, and a spring between the two pins. On my replacement the pins hit the rocker cover. On the other two F600s the orientation of the valve shaft is different so there is no interference.

Looked up the part number and it is C0TE 9A427-A, Now I start the search.

Also, anyone know where to start looking for a shifter **** for a Clark 250V direct 5 speed? Need to replace the one on the red F600, as the old one started to fall apart in my hand.
