I just now caught on to the fact that your truck's name is Rustoleum. I was pretty confused

Yeah... I didn't come up with my truck's name. You can thank my little sister for that when I brought it home. I was going to come up with a name for Rustoleum after I got it/her/him fixed up & streetable (but it didn't turn out that way & I stuck with the name mostly because I'm slightly lazy). She thinks Rustoleum is a POS for some reason...

Anymore, CB's are under powered and can't get out very far. There's LOTS of traffic in the air that messes with their range. I remember vividly being able to talk 20 miles. Now you can barely get 4 or 5. Back in the '70's and '80's, we could park in a neighborhood and key up the mic and talk over people's home stereos and TV. Of course the FCC doesn't like that very much. Every radio now comes with 4 watts of power. Somewhere around here I may still have my old Uniden that puts out around 30 watts. ...with the Linear hooked up, 180 watts

Yup, CB's were fun back in the day. I miss those days.

From what I read... you recommend not putting the CB back in my truck ?

I still say go for it! Even though yes they only put out 4 watts, I've talked to guys in Indiana, texas, Oregon, Arizona, and a few other places. The signals can bounce off stuff and you can go darn far with it. It's kinda cool. It isn't as clear as someone that is only a few miles away but I understood our whole conversation. And even better, a guy in San Fran was in a dent great moment. I believe he said it was a 76......

I still plan on put the CB back in. It is towards the bottom of the list of the things that needs to be done to Rustoleum.
