oil filter cap question

So here is my question I bought a f-250 04 and i did a new oil change on it with an oem filter after searching around I find out the filter cap is not the oem filter cap. There are no ford dealers open for parts today so i checked the parts stores and found this one from O'reillies Dorman OE Solutions 904-204 - Oil/Fuel Filter Cap | O'Reilly Auto Parts

does that cap work in place of oem?

YES! It does, DO NOT let anyone tell you otherwise, its all about the height and the height of that one is the exact same as the oem one from ford and costs a lot less. How do I know? I have the same one from Oreillys and it works fine, after i found out my old oil filter cap was the tall aftermarket one. People may respond with "only go with ford oem parts" which is very true with these trucks, but with this oil filter cap your fine with the one you have.
