Your block is roller ready. It has flat tappet, hydraulic lifters. You can update it to hydraulic roller lifters.

As mentioned, no Ford engine has had flat tappet solid lifters for a long, long time.

Than i was just mislead with crappy information from a local guy i used to go to car meets with. He had me under the impression it was solid roller... Either way the shop i am going to, to get this done claims with everything i can net ~100 give or take 10 they said. Depends on how my motor reacts to the upgrades. I have faith in 75 but 100 is alot to ask from the tune with 24lb injectors, hydro cam, and a good tune...

You're talking 380HP out of stock heads and intake, with just a cam, injector upgrade and tune. I don't see that happening.

The bottom line is bigger injectors will add zero power unless the motor is in bad need of them, and even with a bigger cam the stock GT40 heads are only going to allow the motor to make about 300hp give or take. If the tuner produces a dyno slip that says something significantly higher then he's fudging the numbers which will impress customers short term but those same people will be disappointed if they ever go to a different tuner.

Like i said.. we will see

I know for a fact the GT40 heads will flow 340hp from my buddies 351W in his fox body... and thats to the tires N/A and no Nos or anything. He has GT40 upper and lower, GT40 heads, custom ground cam, upped his injector size, ran 93 octane and had a custom tune from the tuning people down the road from me at ramsay's in FL. I am going to someone who is better with what they do than the Oval guys in the area.

340 RWHP? That's over 400 at the crank. That is not going to happen with stock unported heads, no matter what you do. Sounds like all the dyno guys in your area fluff the numbers

With 340hp if you have a built transmission and he had his backed by a t56 and you are able to use the 4.6L bell housing on the 351W to mount it up.. you reduce the loss with a well built transmission plus his is manual... he was putting out EXACTLY 396 at the crank and that was on my family's personel engine dyno. So i know it was legit.

I think you are just trying to prove me wrong, which i dont mind but as stated, when i get the numbers back i will let you know.

Even if the dyno tech did fluff the numbers, it couldnt have bin more than 20 off and still putting him in a good range for the stock heads and intake. He did have the heads rebuilt with stiffer springs, roller rockers, valves, etc, etc... but never had them ported so he could race in a certain class he said.

Not trying to prove you wrong, just trying to make sure you don't get disappointed when you find out you're not making the power you thought you were

An E4OD will eat about 20% of the power that the motor makes. That'll be about a 80hp loss with the engine making 396 at the crank.
