Now i have a 1990 f150 and ever since i bought it the buzzer has never worked. Finally i went to the junkyard and found a buzzer and its white. Now the one that came out of the trucks is black. When I installed the new one it buzzed but would not turn off when I closed my door. So I replaced the door jam switch and it still didn't work. Now with the new door jamb switch and new buzzer my voltage meter jumps around and it makes a noise. Has anyone had this problem before and can tell me how to fix it?
If you don't mind, would you post a pic of where it goes? I have never had the buzzer work but can't find the darn thing to pull it out.

Take off the lower knee panel(one with the fuse box door). With that removed it is a black(on mine) box on the right hand side of the column right above the accelerator peddle. It will have 2(on mine) connectors with several wires in each. Held in by 2 torx screws.

Same here. Mine works, but its very, very, very quiet. It dings too, it doesn't buzz. Either way, I kinda want it to work now that I got most everything else straightened out.

Is that on the brick nose fords 87-91 or newer? Cuz I see you drive a 92 f150, and I might be in a different location for the older body style.
Just my two cents but the buzzer on this vintage(1990) truck is a wretched sounding thing so this is probably going to be a bunch of work for nothing since it's going to get unplugged again very shortly.

X2 on that, I've had several of these rigs and that's usually one of the first things to go. Like to be able to have door open, radio on, without that buzzer going. Working on a switch to turn off interior lights with doors open.
