Picture Request

I'm trying to get my truck registered as an antique here in PA. They require the vehicle to look pretty much stock. My truck is lifted with larger tires, fenderwell headers, etc. I need to get some pics of a relatively stock 73-77 4x4. Need front, back, and both sides. Color doesn't really matter, but the truck will have to be in relatively good condition. Can anyone here help me out? Thanks in advance

Maybe post up a picture of yours and then we can find one to match it.

I don't think I'll need one to match my truck, just a few pics I can use.

Your truck would fall into the Collectible plate not the Antique. I went through all that to get mine here in Pa. and I'll be the first to tell you it's a real pia to get, at least it was when I got mine but in the end it's well worth it you never pay a license fee ever again and are emissions exempt. There are no milage restrictions but it says only occasional use, described as one day a week but there is no way to enforce that. I drive mine all the time in the summer and have never had any problem.

My registraton expires at the end on November, and I am thinking of going the antique route with mine. I am not to worried about originality, I just want to drive when ever I want to.

Pa. has a lot of different plates. You would just have to read up on the requirements for them and see where your vehicle falls in. Antique has to be bone stock, and all of them require that it be in show condition.

I just got antique tags for mine in WV. Still have to pay to register it every 5 years (instead of 2 like reg tags), and can only drive it on weekends, to and from car shows, events, and races, or on leisure, or to and from a repair place... but again, no way to enforce that, really. I never drive mine on the street unless its just down to the gas station and back, but my HOA requires that all my vehicles be licensed and tagged. The real advantage here is that annual inspection isn't required for antique tags, so I don't have to worry about my rust holes and bumper heights. lol

I have a counter on my phone, so for the last year I had it on the roadway 43 different days for a total of just over 1200 miles. The most I ever haul in it is a case of beer. Being original isnt an issue since I like it original, or could have been original to the truck. My only exceptions is halogen head lights, and radial tires.

An antique vehicle in Pa is 25 years or older. These trucks fit the description now. The black collectable vehicle tag is the way to go, though. How often I remember hub caps pounded on over chrome wheels and colored sign vinyl covering rust holes with the pictures taken just far enough away that it looks like it just rolled off the assembly line for the four straight on shots that needed to be sent off to the state. I used to live in Pa. ANYTHING you do to a vehicle up there is a pain. Good luck.

Ok, so opinions needed from those of you who have been through this process. If I send them these 4 pictures, do you think I'll actually get the tag?
