Locking gas caps

Who sells the best quality locking gas cap for the main tank (inside the cabin tank) of my 1967 Camper Special? I see a bunch in the online vendor's catalogs but does anyone have experience with aftermarket caps and can you all make a recommendation?

Thanks ND! I called Carpenters and theirs are $15. They have a minimum shipping of $9.99 so I'll probably wait until I have a small list of parts I need this weekend. I know right now my turn signal doesn't cancel after a right turn and I think the bearing at the top of the column under the steering wheel is bad because it feels a bit crunchy when I turn. There are definitely things I need (from any vendor) to make the shipping worthwhile.

No Evaporative Emission system (Evap/Em) until 1970, and then only in F100's initially, and then only if required by the specific states law the F100 was sold new in.

1970: Evap/Em was mandatory in Passenger Cars, F100's, Bronco's and Econolines sold new in CA. How many other states required Evap/Em in 1970? I dunno, CA resident since 9/9/1944. Same birthday as CA, but 94 years later.

By 1979, all FoMoCo vehicles had Evap/Em, whether the state the peeps lived in, required it...or not.

Evap/Em: Non vented "4 eared" fuel cap, unleaded fuel, restrictor in fuel filler tube that would only allow 4 eared cap to be installed, and for the thin unleaded fuel gas station nozzles to fit into.

Fuel vapor valve(s) in tank(s), charcoal cannister under the hood. Leaded fuel gas station nozzles...back then, were larger in diameter.

btw: OP lives in Arid-Zona, has a 1967 Camper Special, so Evap/Em doesn't apply.

I calle Carpenter's about these the day after ND posted and was quoted a price. I elected to wait the weekend until I found a couple of other things to add to offset the $10 shipping. When I called the following Monday to order I was told that the C4RZ number was a bad part number and they didn't have it. I referenced the MotorCraft number and was told they had nothing like that in stock and it wasn't even in their catalog..... And I have to tell you that I am not sure I will call them again. I was less than impressed with their phone manners.

I ended up ordering from Blue Oval. The cap (and other parts) arrived today and it works fine.

edit: Oh! And that fellow at B&L was a most helpful guy!!! I am certain I will be calling him again in the future. too bad he didn't have the part in stock. it's on their list but he said it wasn't on the shelf....

I often get spillage out of the main tank's cap after a fill-up. I usually drive it for 10 miles or so, then switch over if I want to run off the rear tank. I think the culprit is the physical expansion of the gasoline as it changes in temperature from below-ground ambient to above-ground ambient. Doesn't seem to be a problem with the rear tank.

Seems a logical explanation. I'll keep that in mind when I get this thing on the road (hopefully this weekend....).
