E4OD shift arm locked up

I have a 93 F150 with the auto E4OD transmission. It will not shift out of drive. I have disconnected the shifter cable from the transmission and the shifter arm on the side of the tranny will not move. What would make the shift arm lock up?

The transmission was acting up right before it happened, when pulling away from a stop the engine would rev to about 2500 rpm before going. Almost felt like it was slipping but then once going it would hold tight with no slipping just woulnt go at low rpms. Then stuck in gear havent been able to move the shift arm no matter how hard I try.

Sounds like maybe something seized up inside the transmission, possible due t low fluid?

Pull the pan and see whats binding the linkage.
