Does anyone do anything special to minimize bug splatter on our massive grilles?

No ideas on how to minimize it but Bounce dryer sheets make it easy to get off. I live in Florida with Love bugs and they are pure hell to get off. I just wet the front of my truck use the sheets and then re-wash with soap to remove any residue.

ok all joking aside, the stuff to use (and dont tell anybody) is lemon pledge. it cleans like a charm, leaves a nice waxy coat that nothing wants to stick to, and best part, smells great.

ive also recently become a fan of Meguiars Headlight Protectant. Stuff is awesome on all plastic lenses, as well as emblems, grille, etc...

Thanks Tux. The pledge trick will be better than the swerving.

not as fun tho.

i use lemon pledge on airplane windows cause bugs suck. and you have to be careful how you clean them and what you use. the best way to get bugs off that are baked on is a wet towel (preferably warm water) and let em soak, then wipe em off. if you "scrub" too hard they can scratch(micro) the surface

I am heading out for a long trip along a lot of farm county. I think a little test in in order. Will do half the grill with pledge and half with dryer sheets and get back to you all.

Not TS, but I run Odyssey AGM's in quite a few applications (Diehard P is an Odyssey)

They are pretty robust for critical mission duties.
