Running exhaust under gas tank

I've been wanting to run a true dual exhaust and have a pipe exit in front of the tires on both driver and passenger side. As everyone knows the gas tank is in the way.

I have the factory skid plate under the gas tank.
If I run a pipe under under it, wouldn't the air running under the truck keep the pipe cool? Also, the skid plate should keep any of the heat the pipe creates away from the gas tank correct?

I know you'll be able to see the pipe if you look under the truck, but as long it's not going to affect the gas/tank I'm ok with that. Truck sits high enouph for it not to hit anything going down the road. I dont off road either.

Just wanted to get some opinions on rather or not the heat from it will affect the gas tank. Again the Skip plate is there.

Thoughts, suggestions?

Thanks!!

Nope.

That pipe will heat the gas, be in the way if repairs are needed, and in short order, get squished flat due to reduced clearance. And it will look like poop from the side.

Thanks for the input.
If i'm not mistaken, my front diff will get hit before anything comes close to that pipe. I only see anything coming close to that pipe if I take it off road.

I agree if repairs are needed it will need to come down. I hope I dont need repairs to my gas tank anytime soon. That's a simple cut thought and weld back on.

Unless your looking under the truck, you would never see the pipe running under the gas tank.

Like I said, my main concern running that set up is gas tank.
Anyone have any input as to why it would heat the tank up? With the skid plate being there creating a barrier, and distance between the two along with the air hitting the pipe, shouldn't that cool them off enouph not to afffect the gas?

Thanks,
