I write on any consumable part so you know exactly when it was installed (and therefore when it needs to be changed). Not just limited to aviation...I can assure you I KNOW how to crash an airplane.

I made a video of some of the sights we visited and posted it on Youtube. It doesn't really show much of the truck, but it was fun to play with editing and such. South Dakota 2012. Thanks to all for the info on DEF.
Nice video GM.

Looks like you enjoyed yourselves. Living out here in the wild wild west, I sometimes take for granted the natural beauty. While I don't live in SD, I do live right next door and my wife and I spend a lot of time (and $$$) playing in the Black Hills.

Almost to 7000 miles and the DEF monitor still just says under 1/2 full. I want to see how far I can go before I get the 800 mile warning. I purchased the fill nozzle from FORD. I thought I read that when full, the fluid will just stop pouring and will not overflow the tank. Is this true when topping off? Just curious what will happen when I up-end a 5 gallon jug and the tank only needs 2 gallons to be topped.

If the nozzle is properly seated in the fill hole and the cap is properly seated on the bottle, the fluid will stop pouring and not a drop will leak. I always keep my def tank topped so the computer doesnt have to think about it
