Side lances? Not sure of the terminology you're using.

Don't we all!

What an understatement, I could say that about each and every piece of my truck. In fact, I doubt that there is many among us that would say "I need a ______ but I think I'd like to pay a premium price for it"

The hood side spears turn up on Ebay every so often. You just have to keep your eyes open.

Good luck
Bobby

How about an update on your build, NtShade? Did you get your engine/trans installed? Did you stick with the 351C? Be interested to see what progress you've made.

I have them in various shape. Not sure what cheap is to you. Everyone has a different opinion of "cheap".

How did the window regulators that I sent to you work out?

There wasn't an F250 in 48. That designation started around the mid-50s.

NtShade, 48-52 Fords where only single digit model discriptions, f-1, f-2, f-3, exc. Mercury's had two digits, M-47 and M-68.. In 53 Ford changed to a 3 digit model number for Later they changed the 1/2 ton as we know today as F-150.

The F-2 and F-3 are both 3/4 ton trucks... So I think he was just saying it wasn't a F-250, but a F-2. here is a nice pic of the vin breakdown

And here is a link to the Hood side molding (spears) 49-3100 on the bottom left corner
