Anyone using a BD Adjustable Track Bar?

BD 1032110 Ford Adjustable Trackbar Fits 2005-11 Ford Superdutys

Seems almost too good to be true for the price.

Anyone heard of BD or used any of their products??

An adjustable track bar would fix all my front end issues and until now the cheapest one I've seen has been $700-800. At $240 shipped that seems unreal.

Any input is appreciated!
Andrew

I installed the Icon adjustable track bar with bearings on my 2011 F350. The salesman told me that if I purchased a panhard bar with bushings, the bushings would have to be replaced once a year. I have a year-and-a-half on mine and it is still tight. I can highly recommend the Icon Bar. Unless you have a torque wrench that goes to 406 ft/lbs, you don't want to have to replace the bushings once a year.

This is a link to the bar on the Icon Website.

Good Luck

Thanks for the link. The only Icon track bar I saw before was $800 something. Apparently I need to make a few phone calls and find out what exactly my other options are.

I just thought of something. The factory track bar has bushings, same as the BD bar. Wonder why the factory track bar will work for year and thousands of miles but the BD bar needs replaced every year.

Typically aftermarket stuff is better than OEM, at least with most things. Can't say this specific bushing falls in that category but worst case it shouldn't be hard to get a replacement bushing of good quality. Right?

while i disagree with you greatly about aftermarket stuff typically being better thatn OE, I do agree that you should be able to find a replacement bushing that is equal or better than original. Might want to check with Tenneco as they are the OE suppliers for bushings for Ford and many other makers.

all this is presuming my theory of bushing quality is accurate

I'm going to call BD tomorrow and get some more info. It it doesn't pan out with BD I'll get the Icon one. Either way, it should be fixed.

While I'm under the truck I think I'm going to add a little more lift. Take it up to 4.5" of overall lift. The axle will be centered either way.

Depends if the caster has been addressed in the lift itself. If the radius arms are lowered you'll likely be fine. I haven't had mine realigned and it drives just as good as it did from the factory.

Camber and toe-in didn't change from lifting it and my radius arm drop brackets corrected the caster angle so I left it alone. After I install my adjustable track bar I'll adjust the drag link so the steering wheel is centered again and see how it drives. I might drop by the alignment shop to just make sure everything is within spec but I doubt it.

You'll likely be fine. See how it drives after it's all done.

Honestly if Rancho is any form of a decent company they would run it through an alignment shop just to make sure everything is right before giving it back to you. If for no other reason than liability.

Worst case, most alignment shops will check it for free and let you know what/if anything needs done. At least the shop I go to is that way. If might be difficult to find a shop that has a rack long enough for that thing to fit on though.....

Installed (2) BD adjustable track bars over the weekend and I can say they are great. Both went together nice and easy (the bushing takes some effort to install) and fits on the truck perfect. Very simple to adjust and has enough fine adjustment to get the axle perfectly center and keep it there.

In short, quality product that does exactly what it's supposed to for a great price!

I would buy one again and not think twice.
