03 ranger lift and mods

ok well my buddy has a 2003 ranger with that 2.3 in it, regular cab short bed, he wasnt tp put a 3in body lift on it and a leveling kit then some 33s. He dosent know what all hes doin and hes asking me what to do and i dont what to tell him anything i dont know for sure. But also he wants a better exhaust like strait pipes kinda performance without that fart can sound, i recommended cutting the pipe ust before the cat and running a 24in glasspack instead. And what gears should he use for 33s? not quite highways gears but more of country road kinda caue we do haul light loads occationally like atvs and small trailers

Body lifts are rather long to install. You have to make sure what you are doing, you have to remove a good amount of parts and relocate certain parts like the bumpers since you lifted the body.

You could simply get some longuer shocks and some better springs upfront.

As for exhaust, he could go with a full catback or simply changing the muffler for a Magnflow. I have a Flowsound on my Ranger V6 4 liter and everyone tells me it sounds good and sounds like a V8. Lol.

he wants a body lift and avoid the suspension, besides the leveling kit. But we are gonna do the exhaust from the manifolds back but what i should have asked is what is the best sized pipe to run on it? Glasspack is the muffler of choice cause its the only one that makes it actually sound good and not like a fart can

As for size I am not sure. Bigger is louder. Smaller will restrict more thus less sound.

If you simply want a cherry bomb, ne need to do the whole exhaust system. Just cut off the old muffler and weld/clamp the cherry bomb on.

well i mean what size is best as in like power and fuel economy, like i know for my truck it would be 2.5 duals or a 3in single is best, but do like a 2 1/4 single for his?
