Need Ball Joints replaced

Hello Folks,

All four of my ball joints needs to be replaced. I'm a bit physically challenged at the moment. Any shop in town(Hillsboro) you guys recommend. I have '03 F350 4x4 6.0 PSD.

Thanks guys. I might just do them myself when am up for the challenge in a few weeks. I called a few shops. They either want too much $$$$ or sound over optimistic.."Oh, it shouldn't take more than a few hours..we'll install them for you..no warranty cuz you brought in the parts..blah blah blah.." BTW; Gratteri's(Les Schwab) or any other tire shop (someone mentioned) don't do ball joints any more.

Do you have a press to put them in? When I was putting my dana 60 together I just took the knuckles in to my buddy at the stealership and had him press the joints in for me, then I assembled it myself.

I can't recommend anyone in the Hillsboro area. I just had mine done by a local mechanic that was recommended by a friend at work. He's in SE PDX/Milwaukie area.

He did a great job, saved me a ton of money over the quotes that I received and got them done in the time he said he would.

Les Schwabs wanted +/- $1200 he did them for +/- $600.

Shoot me a PM if you want his contact info and more details.

McCall Tire (Les Schwab) Here on the coast will on a car at least. Other then they wanted to charge $55.23 for the part (picked up at Napa $20.73) and they wanted $50.50 to install.

I will call my Dad he lives in Hillsboro and find out were he go's.

Just got back in town. Loaded up the camper and went camping; SCARY!! loose ball joints + new toyo tires= bad idea!!! I knew toyo tires requires some break-in but them BJ made them worse. I was all over I-84 to Huntington and back. Having local mechanic look at them tomorrow.

I did all four ball joints, adjustable camber bushings, tie rods, and shocks on my D44 4x4 in a day
