Good Morning Everybody!

I got a couple cool pictures of the '53 yesterday when I came home. I took it over to show Tiff's brother and sister. (they're neighbors) They have an old train depot in their back yard that was moved there from when the railroad was taken out of Chadwick. Anyway, I got some neat pictures.

...and I hate my brother in law for pointing out the front "roll pan" is a plastic bumper off what looks to be a mid-to-late '90's Cavalier. Of course now it has to go!

Well - it looks like the shower stall downstairs is in. I still need to caulk up the seams and touch up the paint I messed up, but its in. Next up, scraping the old adhesive up off the floor and laying new tiles in.

I'm beat - time to hit the shower...

You'll come up with one that is oh so awesome from apparently thin air. Face it Alan - you're the MacGyver of fabrication.

Well, I got the front axle and springs out of the j20, and the springs off the axle. Then I started prepping the wag's axles. Torched off the springs, shocks, and driveshafts. Then pulled the axle shafts out to get the hubs/drums off. Got that done and drove the studs out to get rid of the drums. Just slid the hubs back on for now. Then we torched off the ubolts from the front 44 and pulled the calipers off so it'll roll. Now to get the wag in my possession and get it back together. Now for picture time.....

How she drove to her dismantling:

Brush guard and tires removed with stands under frame:

Something is missing:

The new Wag axles, HD44(GM) and 14bolt:

Good days work there, Curt!

We went to Silver Dollar City today where I walked my feet half in two. It being a Sunday and overcast, we got a lot in though. Since we splurged and bought season passes at tax time, we figured we might as well go.

Back to the grind tomorrow. I gonna see if I can get something done on the '66.

I posted an ad on "The List" a few weeks ago that I'd trade a few Snap On tools (depending on the tool/tool's) for a heavy built smoker. I had a guy e-mail me twice in the last three days. He dosen't have a smoker to trade, and he is interested in my entire Snap On box and tools (I'm not sure about that part), and truthfully my box and tools are way more than I need here in the house. Theres a lot of tools that I haven't used since I left the shop in Kc. nearly 6 years ago.
Anyway I went to look at his trade offer, and it is vary tempting. He also has somebody that is supposed to look at it tomorrow.
We're supposed to give each other our answer by tuesday..

This is a Numbers Matching 70 Mustang, 351 Cleveland 4 speed, manual steering and brakes, and factory A/C. Inside is as clean as the outside.
Engine sounds strong, has been rebuilt, with paperwork, and all original documents. Has been repainted, original color, with stripes...

Unk Bob

Nothing is set in stone, he still has one person that wants to see it tomorrow. We're supposed to give our answer to each other by tuesday. I've allway's wanted a "Real" Mustang, and have had a few of the LX 4 cylnder cars. This car sounds as good as it looks, with a built 351 Cleveland, cylnders are .030 over, with flat top pistons, comp cam, Flowmaster mufflers. And can back everything up on paper. He said the car had been valued at almost 35K. I don't see it, but who knows. I do know my tool box and tools are worth that much!
And Thanks Pat, ka'Bluey is coming along nicely.

What do you plan on working on the new toy with when ALL your tools are gone? You're more than welcome to wrench over here, but I know what you have in the tool box. A notch back Mustang doesn't do it for me. If it was a fast back or Mach I, I'd say go for it. I don't think this car is special enough. Would you let your tools and box go for $12K? because that's what you'd be doing. Nobody has any money to pay cash for a car like that. If you get tired of it in a year, you won't get anything near $30K for it. As I said, $12K MAYBE.

Your tools, your call. The guy knows what tools are worth, that's why he's offering the trade. Tell the guy when the other guy buys the car for $30K, he can give you the money for the tools. There, ...you traded.

That's just what I would do. A V-8 Mustang that was never anything special (ie: Mach I, Boss, etc.) just isn't enough car for the tools you have.

Congrats to the car show winner's!

I've seen the box too, and I would not to it, but we are all here for you Unk Bob no matter what you decide, we will all take a ride in it and yell go faster!

4th vehicle to tag and insure......I like Alan's idea, if he sells the car come back to you with CASH for your tools.

I'm with Alan & Rich. I think you'd come out on the short side of this deal. The 'Stang is nice, but certainly not worth your tools.
