Is this thing safe?
I was just looking around on ebay and I seen this performance chip. It says it gives you 35 mor HP and up to 4 more mpg. Is this true? and is this thing safe to run? PERFORMANCE CHIP FORD F-150 F150 5.4L 1997-2009 2008,08 | eBay

Stay away, its a ripoff.

There is no way a $25 chip is going to save you 4 mpg's. You would make your money back in one tank. Everyone would have one.

If it seems too good to be true, then (you fill in the rest)...

It's a $.05 resistor in a fancy case.

Well hang on there...it MIGHT, but it won't be anything GOOD.



Performance "chips" will lighten your wallet, and that's about the only benefit they provide.
