No it won't with that cam, and like I already said if you use a cam that makes more topend HP you will sacrifice low end TQ to get it so the truck will need lots more gearing to compensate. What axle gearing does it have at the moment?

The motor will make about 330-340tq peak but that peak will be up around 4000rpm with a bigger cam. If you use the cam originally suggested the motor will produce all it's Tq at the low end of the tach.

a 351w swap would be a better idea because you can putbasically the same parts as mentioned on it and get much more hp and torque and it bolts right up, but those E3 spark plugs do work

Those E3 plugs have about as much benefit to these trucks as a Cold Air Intake.
In reality, your best bet for power is a swap to a roller 351w with MAF. Even with that you could put in a stroker kit and be FAR ahead of what that 302 will put out. I'm not much for the 302 personally. If you make a 347 stroker out of it, it would be a killer motor though.

I just use copper plugs with good wires, cap, and button.

But anyway, the reason we threw out 351w swap, it because you're looking at 300 hp and 330 torque AFTER beefing up the 302. A 351w factory has (according to the book) has 210 hp and 350 torque. My firend put his stock 351w on a dyno out of his 91 f150. It made 250 hp and 380 torque.

You can beef up a 351w a get so much more power than a beefed up 302, and have pretty much the same amount of money in both.

That does make sense, how hard is it to swap?

Well: However much you can get a 351w for, plus intake, distributor, and flexplate/flywheel. Eveything else can be used on the 351w from the 302.

Are you sticking EFI or going carb?

Ok, If you go with a 351w swap, you will also need a 5.8/C6 EEC (computer) combo for a 88 f150/bronco. Thats it, as long as you stay with a SD EFI friendly cam, you should be good.

I did the swap back in December, and very happy with it.

Yes, motor mount, belt brackets, water pump, wiring harness, injectors, throttle body, valve covers, timing cover are all the same, and the 302 and 351w share the same trans bolt pattern.

However the intake, distributor, and oil pan are different.
