Very nice truck.
Get 500 miles on that thing and put it to work doing whatever the work is.
You'll quickly realize while your 7.3L was nice, this thing is an amazing workhorse.

how should the first 500 miles go??? im supposed to go on a trip tomorrow which is 250 miles one way all interstate.

i only have 60 miles on it now and the manual says to not drive it at a constant speed for extended periods.

Ford recommends to wait 500 miles before towing.
If you're driving empty, no issue.
Just vary your speed as you said.

I too had a trip right after getting mine...
what I did was set the cruise @ about 55.... then ever minute or so just accelerate briskly without downshifting up to about 70, then let off slowly....

drove me AND the wife crazy, but we only had about an hour drive on interstate and then we were checking out new rv spots on back roads...

and I somehow read don't tow until 1000 miles !!!! I found out @ 800 miles I read wrong and immediately hooked it up to find out that it was a towing dream
