Yes sir. Remember it is not a direct bolt on. Not a single bolt hole lines up so by starting with a factory part will save you a lot of time and aggravation.

If you are set on aftermarket, at least make sure its a capa certified direct replacement. That will be the closest to oem.

"It could be done for a lot less though, but I splurged for a lot of extra's and only used Ford parts. A Ford hood is $600.00 while a CAPA hood is like $200.00, same with the fenders."

How close fitting are the CAPA certified ones and are they paper thin like GIGGER said? I don't want the conversion to look crappy. However, $600 vs $200 is a lot of extra $$$ .

You listed all the parts on the build. If I print out this list and take it down to the parts department at ford, will they print me a list with the parts with all of the prices? I tried using the ford website but its hard to find what I'm looking for with out all the part #'s.

Hood – Much heavier than the 04 hood.
• Hood striker that mounts to the hood – U shaped
• Hood hinges
• Fenders
• Fender emblems (upper and lower, vent is two piece),
• Cowl panels (L&R, where the windshield wipers are),
• Grill – I went with the Chrome package grill
• Grill supports that bolt to the hood and grill bolts to it (these support the grill from moving horizontally when the hood is down) + hardware
• Hood striker for the latch + hardware
• Headlights (L&R) – you don’t need the header panel.
• Head light plugs to adapt wiring. I just made my own.
• Full front bumper with all the brackets (If you are going with a factory bumper)
• Windshield washer nozzles, and the plastic pins that help affix the grill to the hood.
• Wiper motor – you can modify the earlier one but it’s a pain in my option.
• Bumper
• Hood Hinges
• Hood release
• Secondary hood release cable assembly
• Hood bumpers
• Hood shocks
• Hood retaining bolts (4)
• Shock mounting bolts (2) – the shock attachment ***** are much larger
• Grill bolts, retaining hardware (7)
• Grill bumper (rubber bumpers prevent flexing in the wind)
• Complete set of inner fender retaining hardware (you can reuse some of your old stuff but you need all new push fastners
• 2010 inner fenders (optional) – you can modify the existing ones. Its probably not worth it.
• Misc. Ill add parts as they come to mind

It might work. Cant hurt.

What I would do is have them print you the diagram with the 08 front end from the firewall forward. That will show every little part number and you could then make a list for them. Your sales guy will like you much better for that!

Just picked this power telescoping passenger mirror for $200 . What a steal !

I've been looking online and am having trouble find a matching drivers side with the telescoping feature. I can only find manuals folding ones.

7.3 monster, the dealers have a computer network between each other & every blue moon one will clearance those $1100.00 mirrors out, for less than 1/2 price! Took me/parts guy about 16 weeks to get 2 of em!

Anyone catch the superduty on the weather channel driving threw the deep water? The video was shot out the passenger window and the truck had the 08 mirrors. I was looking at the mirror the whole time seeing how much more visible everything is out of the bigger curved mirror than my 03's.
