NVM - Just read it. Durr. 2008 model. I wonder if I could get away with my 05 FF bumper with the 08 front end. hrmm
The bumper on mine is a 2011 Road Armor for a 2008-2010 F250. You probably cannot get away with the 05 bumper. If you notice the headlights and grill are nearly flush along the bottom while the 05 has the noticeable grill dip. The 08 lights probably won't clear.

Might have to give that a try Bill! Been scared to commit!

well you do have the best write-up on how to convert a 99-07 to the 08+ front end

do you have any pics of the frame horns from where you had to clearance them for the lower edge of the grille/bumper? That looks like it's the hardest part of the 08+ upgrade to me

Archtaan, do you know how much the 08 power folding and manual folding mirrors cost?

I found a used 08 passenger side mirror on Craigslist. He is asking $150.

The seller thinks it is power folding but isn't positive . I there a way to tell if it has the power folding function with out hooking it up to my truck?

$150 is a stupid good deal if they are power fold/power telescope.

Mine had this Ford decal describing they have the power fold/ power telescope feature. If the sticker is missing then it will be a wire/pinout count. Regular mirrors will have ground, heat, light, signal, power and a few lens controls. Power fold/telescope adds another 6 wires I think. I would have to double check the pinouts on my notes.

Many people think power refers to the lens and not the telescope/fold so the terminology gets a bit confusing.

New they run around $1000.00 each btw! They show up on EE for around $900 for a pair nowadays.

$1000 new from Ford! Each!!! Thats crazy. Even if I buy it for 150 I could probably resell it for a few hundred more!

If it's not power folding how much is it new?

Can you tell from the picture if it is power or manual? If not I can ask him to count the # of wires on the connectors.

Its kinda hard to tell the plug from the pic. They look like manual fold with heater and marker. Around $450 each or so if I am not mistaken. Great find!

This is the power fold/telescope plug.

Here is the wire colors for the driver side. Match em up and see if you have the power ones! You might have gotten really lucky!

Wiring
Drivers side mirror

11 Red Power Mirror 22 Orange/blue Power extend -
10 Yellow Power Mirror 12-21 Empty
09 Blue/silver dots Power Mirror
08 Green Signal light lead +
07 Black Ground
06 Black/white Mirror Heater
05 Brown Marker light lead +
04
03 Purple/blue Power fold +
02 Purple/yellow Power fold -
01 Orange Power extend +

Darn. Well 150 is still a good price and he will probably come down a little since it isn't power folding.

Where can I get a matching driver side mirror, for the best price?

Our sponsor vendors have them. Check the link at the top right corner and shop around. Their prices are always good.

Do you know how much this bumper costs new? I found one on Craigslist for $175 with a small dent. This a fair price?

About $300 delivered on ebay for a new one without a dent. I'd offer $100 and see what he says. You need the mounting brackets too.

Replaced the cracked passenger side mirror today. Wow was it an easy job. I was really worried it would be all complicated with pins and such but it was a breeze.

Grab the mirror lens at the top and pull. It pops right out.

Disconnect heated mirror wiring. Wires slide into push in snaps to hold them in. Be sure to reroute wires the same way on new lens.

Slide the 3 retaining tabs into the brackets. The come taped to the back of the lens.

Tilt lens and align the top two tabs first, then using a small screwdriver push the bottom tab into the alignment slot. Press firmly till it snaps into place.

Test for function, clean and go!

<10 minutes.
