Something INSIDE my seat is rattling

I have a 11 F350 6.7 Lariat supercrew with 9,000 miles. The front seats are leather non-bench. The other night, I thought something in the back seat was loose and rattling. Last night I determined that it was coming from INSIDE the driver's seat. The condition can be repeated with the vehicle not running, and me not in the seat by pressing the center of the upper part of the seat. If I raise the headrest, the noise diminishes, but is still present.

What could that be? Is it user-fixable or is this a dealer problem? I see no way of opening the seat, and don't see a tag that there is an airbag inside... which is the biggest concern if there is one in there.

Sounds like something with the duct work in the seat a/c might be hitting the seat frame. A trip to the dealer may be in order unless you're comfortable digging into the seats.

Thanks, Matt. Makes sense. I see no way to get into the seat to poke around, so I will leave it up to the pros.

Just an update on this in case anyone is Googling for an answer. The dealer had to remove the seat, and they 'found noise from bolster framers. Lubed and adjusted springs to frames/reassembled seat.'

That fixed it.

Glad it wasn't anything too major!
