Seems a little steep, that's what I've paid for fake wire wheel covers before.

Make sure they are the correct style for your year, the earlier ones are different. Here's what yours should look like:

If you just want to cover up your steel wheels, there are now a lot of extremely cool aftermarket wheel covers avalible for under $40. I've noticed a lot of new aftermarket stuff coming out lately, finally everyone's catching on!

However, Wheel cover's kinda poke out from the rim, like the mags in the picture. I prefer deep rims, and the only way to get that is buy new ones.

If they are true NOS, then I don't think $100 for 4 is out of line at all. Unfortunately, a lot of folks think NOS means original Ford only, not necessarily new.

Cool 72 f100 mag hub caps

If you are looking at/for "mag-style" wheel covers for your '72 they are a little different than the pic that BBB posted, the ones he pictured are for '76ish up to '79, IF the ones you are looking at are truely NOS (NEW OLD STOCK) Then $100.00 is a steal!!!!!
And besides aftermarket hubcaps/wheelcovers look like crap on a classic Ford truck!

Ok, I cheated on the pic, it's from a '77 but they are the same style that started in '71, heres a sloppy scan I didn't want to use from a '72.

The only other mag-style wheel cover for the trucks I know of is the earlier style that started in '67, I'll try to find a pic of it.

Something is not right here. The mag-style wheel cover that BBB posted at the top is not from a 1977. 77-79 the middle of the hubcap did not "peak" like that. Ford flattened the center section. Those could be from a 76, but not 77. If Ford put that in the 77 brochure, they were just using a pic from a previous year but that is not what they looked like exactly. That is the older style. Frankly I do not see the difference between that pic and the one you posted from the 72.

Exactly! That’s why I used the clearer pic since they are both the same wheelcover.

Barry

Jas, if you have a pic can you sent it my way? Thanks!

Yeah, I think $100 is a steal too. I paid $20 each for good condition, but used F250 style caps that have the crest on them. Ando those are everywhere. The one's you're talking about are much less common. Pick them up, if you don't want them someone here or e-bay will likely pay as much or more for them. Again, verify they are truly NOS for top value.

I have two sets of mag style caps. One set is the later style that doesn't stick out as much, (flattened at the center) and the other set is the true cone shaped type from the outside to the center. From straight on, hard to tell them apart. Catalogues show these hubcaps at over $100 EACH. NOT a set.
I refurbish mine. Painstaking, but worth it. My favorite hubcap for Ford trucks.

do you have any tips on refurbishing the wheel covers? Also, do all of the mag style covers have black on them? Did they come in 16"? THanks.
