i have a 91 300 6 with an e40d trannsmission, our 4610 Ford tractor broke down in the field so i pulled it maybe 50 yds with my truck, it didnt like it but it did it

now my tranny is dripping at a decent pace it looks like from the hole in the bottom of the trans, drove it ten miles home and it shifts fine

what could i have done??

 

You pushed the convertor bushing forward and cut the seal.

 

what seal did it cut and how do i go about replacing it?

 

You might have just overheated the seal. If it seals once it cools down you're fine unless you overheat it again.
