id go 4.88 gears with the 7.3 powerstroke, the 7.3 dont like to rev high and with 550ftlbs of torque stock 4.88 in high range or low range will spin them tires easily

Remember that here in Finland max speed for trucks is 50mph and 5.38 would be almost same as original ratio.
