2010 E-250 Audio Wiring Q

Hello All,

We just purchased a 2010 E-250 Extended van which will be used as a Van/Limo service vehicle for my fathers limo business.

Sadly this model was the cheapest variety in terms of options and did not come with a CD player or 4 speakers. Not to mention no MP3 jack also.

My questions are twofold:

1) If the base cargo van only came with 2 front speakers in the doors, can I wire additional speakers if I run my own wire or are there pigtails behind the dashboard that I can tap into?

2) If I purchase a replacement head unit with CD/MP3 capability, where do i go about finding an MP3/AUX jack that goes into the dashboard?

I guess a wiring schematic would probably do the job for me here to an extent.

Many thanks and here isa pic of our new purchase just for fun. thanks in advance FTE!

Hello,
My 2008 E-350 came with a basic FM radio with only the front speakers hooked up. However the side door and rear door speakers were present. I installed a Clarion CX501 radio and it works great. I purchased a Ford radio wiring connector for it (about 6 bucks on Ebay), and it was very easy to hook up. All the speakers now work. The Clarion includes a mp3 input jack and also a USB input, which will find audio files on your iPhone, etc, as well as charge it. The radio also has bluetooth capabilities to give you hands free phone use.
The factory speakers are nothing to brag about, but they get the job done.

Thanks for the input. I was hoping to get a factory OEM CD/MP3 unit in there without spending too much money. Sounds like the Clarion was a good deal as well.

One more question.

Does anyone know how to program additional keyless entry remotes for these trucks?

In the Excursion forum's Tech Folder there are several threads about programming the RKE fobs or remotes. Its so simply and done in 30 seconds or less----give it a look see over there.

I put amps in mine, an aftermarket radio linked to them VIA RCA cables, locating the amp to the rear, closer to the additional speakers, my 99 E-350 ext SuperDuty has 6 factory speakers.
