Anyone happen to know the shift points( RPM and MPH) for an E4OD in a 92 F150 4x4?

Now I understand that you are right on. I was asking because I have a program I can use to change the shift points. I got a file from the website today that talks about how it works and it says that the shifting is directly related to the input from the TPS, same as gas pedal IMHO.

Thanks.

My 1992 4x4 F350 w/5.8L engine and E4OD shifts @4000 RPM with the throttle on the mat.

Shifts points are done by a table mapped out for each shift (ex, there is a table for the 1-2, 2-3, 3-2, etc..). The table references TPS (throttle position, which directly corresponds to pedal position ) vs MPH at a few different points

However when WOT, the computer ignores those tables. For WOT shifts, there are 3 fixed values the computer looks at. WOT 1-2 RPM, WOT 2-3 RPM, and WOT 3-4 RPM.

For the 5.8 and 460, those shifts are set right around 4000 RPM, the 5.0 WOT shifts are set a little higher. The 4.9 shifts are probably a bit lower.

I drive a 2001 F450 wrecker for work with V10 and an E4OD, and when I bury the pedal to the mat it can shift as high as 5500. Pulling a load up hill I have seen just shy of 6000.

Revlimit on the V10 is ~5200 RPM.

Yeah well you have to remember this I am looking at the tack and who knows if it is a little off. Also the truck itself empty with a full tank of gas is just over 13000 lbs you put something behind it and sometimes you have to rev the nuts off it to make some hills. Plus there is just something about the sound of a v10 singing at hi rpm's it is intoxicating...
