Even the earlier super duty's have good durable cloth seats. I have a set of cloth seats from a 2000 in my 03 XL that had 200k on them before I bought them, and they're still holding up well. My 01 with 140k has cloth seats that still look like new. Even the vinyl on these things suck, my F550 with 50k on it had vinyl all ripped to heck before I replaced it with cloth buckets and an 08-10 console. The cloth in my 05 (130k) has not held up either, the edge of the drivers seat is ripped and the foam is crumbling big time. They changed cloth types I believe in 03 from the comfy soft type to the rougher (more durable seeming at first) and it just doesn't make any sense, they fixed what wasn't broke.

I can understand trying to save money and all that. But at this time when all kinds of people are switching brands because of bailouts and whatnot wouldn't you want to have a good product out there? I don't know how other people think but I know if I buy something and it is junk I sure wouldn't buy another one. Especially if I am brand loyal to something but decided to try another brand just to try it. If I try that other brand and see the poor quality it would just strengthen my thought of that product being junk and would never ever try it again.

I seriously miss quality items! You would know it looking in my shop too, every machine/tool is old. Stuff from when items were built with pride of how well built they are and how well they hold up for years and years.
