Question ditch scangauge and get EDGE CTS?

So I am considering ditching the scangauge and getting an Edge CTS and adding EGT and fuel pressure sensors so I can monitor those as well. Are there any better set ups out there that I can add custom tunes to later if I decide to or is the Edge a good choice?

Also, anyone have part numbers for the sensors and daisy chain add on for this?

Thanks!
Jake

Just my opinion. But I would keep scangauge an get pillar pod with gauges. Will b cheaper than edge cts with the add on's.

Yea. I know the Edge CTS looks better. But also cost alot more.

If you decide that cost isn't a factor in your decision of the Edge CTS over the Scangauge here are the part numbers I have sitting in front of me now for my "05"

- Insight CTS Monitor System - 83830

- EAS Starter Kit with EGT Probe - 98603 (this starts the "Daisy Chain and includes the EGT sender unit and probe)

- EAS Universal Sensor Input (5 Volt) - 98605 (this is used with the fuel pressure sending unit to relay info back to the CTS)

- EAS Pressure Sensor 0-100psi 1/8" NPT - 98607 (to monitor fuel pressure)

- Edge Products CTS Dash Adapter Pod Adapter - 98003 (This allows the CTS Monitor to mount in a pod that usually accommodates the Edge Evolution or Juice monitors. I have an autometer pod from an old Edge Juice Attitude programmer that I used with the CTS and it fits just below the grab handle on the drivers side pillar.... had to cut the pastic on the pod a bit to allow room for the larger wiring but it will work and look fine)

If you are running a fuel pressure unit for your CTS you want to get this as well

6.0L Fuel Pressure Adapter

That way the sensor is moved away from the heat and vibration of the motor. This kit comes with the hose as well as the fitting that hooks up to the fuel pressure regulator housing (lower left corner has a plug that comes out and the fitting goes there).

A lot of guys swear by the Scangauge II but I wanted the added convenience of a reverse camera for hooking up to my travel trailer and I like the fact that it is basically "plug-n-play". I don't need to mess around with programming X-gauges or whatever like on the Scangauge. It also monitors everything I want without installing 10 bloody pods all over the truck.

I love my CTS, it's an awesome looking product that watches everything you need on an average day. Keep the SCII for diagnostic work, it's jmore expandable from a PID perspective and will pay off if you ever have an HPO problem.

If you really want to go down the CTS road, look at PHP's Gryphon tuner, it's a CTS box with custom tunes from Bill (or he can custom tune an Edge Evolution I think).
