Here are my plugs with 100K miles on them from my 08. Removal was pretty much pain free except the rear driver side plug as it had hard vacuum hoses and wire looms directly over the COP-that one took 15 minutes. The other took about 5 minutes each. Here are the plugs.

No. If you have the brown boots you are safe. Didn't take much effort. I cracked the first one 1/4 turn, sprayed PB Blaster and let it set for 20 minutes. I tried not using it on the second plug and it was virtually the same, easy so I didn't do it on the rest of them.
If you have the black boots, it's a different story.

I don' have a new one to show the difference, but other than color and a very minor amount of wear, they look the same.
If you have brown COP boots you are safe-the plugs and heads have been update to eliminate the broken plug issue. The dealer still quoted me $299 labor for my plugs. It took me a total of about 1.5 hours-but I don't work fast and took my time. It's really not hard at all. Much easier access than most cars.
If you have the black boots on your 2008 or 2007 chances are you will break a plug.
You need a 9/16th spark plug socket-I couldn't find one locally and used a 14mm in a pinch. I would suggest getting a 9/16th magnetic socket. Other wise you need a telescoping magnet to get the plug out after it's loosened-it's too deep to reach with your fingers.

Great...I have an 08 with 48k on it...I know its a little too soon to replace plugs and mine runs perfect, but will I possibly benefit from doing it earlier and what is the production dates or series that I can use to determine if I may or may not have a problem without having to look at the boots???...What plugs are being recommended to avoid future issues???....Do these engines also have the plug blowout problems that the earlier ones did???..
