Yes, another $750 coupon question
I've been on the fence about buying a new truck for about a year and finally have the funds.
The issue is this: I just received a $750 coupon from Ford that expires July 9. I would prefer to order a truck to get exactly what I want rather than "settling" on something else.
What are the chances of getting a truck ordered, built, and delivered in 6 weeks? I am guessing slim-to-none.
If that is the case, what are the chances of getting a 2nd coupon from Ford when this one expires?
Thanks for the insight.
Eric

I ordered a new F-150 a couple weeks ago from a smaller dealer. My coupon expires the end of June and I wasn't sure if the truck would be in or not by then.
Not to worry, said the salesman. First, let me say this dealership has always impressed me in the service department, and this salesman, who is usually the only one there, is very knowledgable, informative, and seems to be upfront with everything. Unlike the other 99% of car salesmen, but don't get me going on that.......
I forget the terms he used, but basically Ford dealerships are designated by size; large and small. The large one have a lot of trucks on their lots which makes it easier to sell vehicles.
The small dealerships like this one only have a handful of F-150s on the lot, so a higher percent of their sales are orders. To level the playing field, Ford grants the smaller dealerships a few extra benefits.
One of these has to do with this $750 coupon. At the smaller dealerships, and I apologize for forgeting the proper terms used, if the coupon is valid when the order is placed, Ford allows it to be automatically valid when it is delivered.
Not so at the big dealerships; it expires as per the date on the coupon.
I've had 4 of these coupons in the last year; just reapply for them. It takes nearly a week to get it via Email, and the one printed on the 4 page brouchure you requested, takes several weeks to arrive. However, the info is in the Ford Vincent system ; the dealer just has to put in you name "exactly" as you put it when you requested the brouchure on line.
Being something of a cynic, I wondered if they wouldn't send you a coupon if you're in the system for already ordering a truck.
Thanks to this forum, I learned last year about the existance of this "private cash" $750 coupon. And thanks to a knowledgable salesman, I don't have to worry about the expiration date.
I hope this helps someone.

Congrats on your new truck order.
I ordered my F150 crew on Apr 28th. Do any of you know if the $750 coupon is available in Canada or is it for US only. In Canada right now there is a $1000 Cosco members discount but I did not have a membership card at time of order so I was unable to get in on the deal. Wondering what other offer Ford will have out when the truck is ready in June.
