No comment on the seller here- just noticing- a truck that seems pretty well optioned, carpet on the doors and floor, etc. Doesn't have a headliner. Yet my truck that barely has glass or tires had one. Must have been nice when you could buy a new truck and order anything you wanted.

Saved every picture by the way.
Great you saved the pics!

Anyway, it doesn't look good for the perspective buyer if the seller has started pulling pics. Shows he knows he's been out'ed... Sad.

EDIT: Pics are still there? Great. We have more to discuss then...

Maybe that too was an option? Or factory specific?

Also, I can't remember if the Ford 4.9-300 was ever re-painted blue for 1984 +? I thought the only blue ones were the early models and that all the late 70s up to 96 were all painted gray? My 1983 was originally gray.

I'm surprised nobody noticed the painted over box bolts.
And the poorly masked bumper sticker.
Ashtray has been painted silver.
Digital brake controller????
Parts of the Kendall Ford sticker are missing, so they painted it back on.

That truck has been apart, just can't believe the people bidding can't see it and bid it up that high.

I wonder how much body filler it has???

Was there water in the bed, or what was that?

Also he has a dealers license it seems. But there's clearly his house and other vehicles behind it in the pics. There's a guy like this near me that flips vehicles. Honest guy, good if you need cheap DD. But I wouldn't give him 10k cross country for it. I wonder if that would make it to my house.

Oh, is that dome light correct? Mine is the chrome job with the two eyeballs (map lights) on either side, and the lens sitting in between them.

Maaybe that was a higher or non single-cab option? I've got the one large light with padded headliner. 86 single.

Lastly, look at the pic just above the pic showing the keys. It's of the brake line running down the frame rail.

If you look to the left, where you can see a little further under the frame, you'll notice rust. Looks like typical frame rust on a truck that age. Seems they only painted the parts of the frame that you'll see if you bend over and take a glance.

Sloppy work there.

Comes with the Courtesy Light Group - glove compartment, footwell, map reading lights. Maybe also underhood, don't remember for certain.

I'd guess this also gave the switch in the passenger door frame, too.

I don't want to get into the motor color thing again but, that motor looks like it was painted as 1 piece, is that correct for a factory motor? That truck defiantly looks like it's been cosmetically restored. Then he states that he's not legally liable for anything misstated or incorrect.

The listing has been seriously modified since I first saw it earlier this afternoon - all that text about barn find, mint condition, etc. is gone. My first reaction was, "What kind of barn was it in? Climate-controlled airplane hangar?"

Gorgeous restoration, but as many sharp eyes have noticed, not original.

My understanding is yes, that's correct.

I say give the guy the link. It has clearly been doctored up. Way too many things to point out. Besides the rattle can job on everything under the truck, all the wheels wells including splash guards have bed liner on them. New tires with no previous wheel weight marks. Smashed wheel wells with the bed bolts painted over. Painted ash tray that is the same color as the rear bumper(coincidence I think not). Broken steering wheel. New pedal pads. Worn shift ****. Emission's label oversprayed. Repop grill. Look at the age of the tailights and faded hubs! A full on lipstick resto. I say 139K.
